CCNB (Clay Coated Newsback) or CRB (Coated Recycled Board)

Clay Coated News Back or CCNB is a multi-ply paperboard made with 100% recycled pulp. The term CCNB is slowly being replaced by CRB which stands for Coated Recycled Board. The printable side is white with a brown, beige or grey uncoated backside. It has many applications, primary amongst them are the food (cereal boxes, paper tissue boxes etc.), hardware and clothing industries, and so on. Because recycled pulp may contain impurities, our sheeters are equipped with metal detectors which are activated when we sheet this product. Our CCNB mills follow USFDA guidelines for direct food contact.

This product is made with 100% recycled pulp, it is brown on both sides and it is uncoated. It is used to make inserts, separators, box protectors, unprinted boxes, as well as printed ones, mailers, etc. Because recycled pulp may contain impurities, our sheeters are equipped with metal detectors which are activated when we sheet this product. We keep in stock rolls of 18 and 24 pt and sheets of 40 pt in size 36” X 45”. Other callipers and sizes are available on demand. This product follows the USFDA requirements.
